Talk about a popular gathering place in your town where people like to go. Describe the place and explain why people enjoy going there.

An important gathering place in New York City is the Empire State Building. The Empire State Building is a 103-story skyscraper in Manhattan, that was named after New York, its nickname which is The Empire State, and that is really famous, first of all because of its history. I mean the Empire State Building was the tallest building in the United State for nearly 40 years. So it has a long history and people usually go there to celebrate the history. Also the Empire State Building is a very good example of eco-friendly and energy efficient building and it is the tallest LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design ) building in the United State, for this reason a lot of people gather there to just look at the construction and things like that. So I feel like this is a really interesting gathering place in America and in New York City.
