TPO12口语Task2题目：

Some people believe it's essential for a person's education to learn to play a musical instrument. Others don't believe music education is important. Which view do you agree with? Explain why.

TPO12口语Task2参考答案(范文模板)：

I think that it’s essential for a person to learn to play a musical instrument because for one thing, it helps to broaden a person’s horizons and discover something that they might really enjoy.

I played the clarinet when I was in Junior High. Through that, I realized that though I didn’t really like playing the clarinet, I did enjoy playing the bagpipes; which are my favorite instrument now.

Another thing is that studies have shown that people who play musical instruments are, on average, smarter than people who don’t. It seemed to take me a long time to learn anything before I learned to play the bagpipes, but after that, any subject I approached seemed to be easier because I was exercising my mind more often.

That’s why I think people should learn to play a musical instrument.
