The most challenging experience I have been through was when I was selected to be the groupleader and the chief coordinator for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project at PekingUniversity. It is a case study project, and as the leader, I have to conduct interviews with worldfamous companies such as Shell, BP, and Bayer, and I also have to write case reports for them,

both in English and in Chinese. I also need to coordinate the whole group of 12 students joiningthis project, including 3 MBA students. The whole process is a huge challenge for me, especiallyduring the discussion sessions, when all the members come together to review each others’ casereports. And I have to coordinate different opinions and incorporate them into the final version ofthe reports. But it’s also fun. I learned a lot, and I made a lot of social connections.

I encountered a big difficulty in my internship at an e-commerce Inc. My boss asked me to doresearch about whether we have a market in Shanghai. Since our main market now is out broad. Itis very hard because first, there is lots of similar companies are running the same business inShanghai. It is hard to gather enough useful information. And even if I have the information.

There are numerous factor could influence the result. So I can’t decide how the analyze and have afeasible conclusion. To overcome the problem, I made good efforts to gather information. I evenpay visits to the compete companies and talked to the managers of them. And then I ask help tomy professor who is an expert in the data mining area. Using his practical advice I solve theproblem at last.
